EDIFICE Dance Theatre's directors and dancers offer a series of learning and participation opportunities including workshops, internship placements and mentoring. Our educational programmes are open to all.

The teaching include EDIFICE unique style of partnering combining principles of connection from both Latin American and Contact.

OUR CLASSES:

EDIFICE SOLO PRACTISE - CLASS

A dynamic class  working through our hybrid practise of ballroom and contemporary. The class looks to find the articulation of the spine and pelvis through actions from latin dance, and bring these principles into finding a 3-dimensional, sinuous contemporary dance language.

EDIFICE PARTNERING -  CLASS

Our unique hybrid style gives a rare technical understanding to partnering in dance. Working with Contemporary and Ballroom principles we teach dancers how to understand, sense, support and lead other dancers.  We work to understand chains of articulation the body, levels of weight transfer, how to create change of speed and direction in the body and how to create elasticity in connection. This is truly a unique class and an asset to any contemporary dancer

INTERSHIP/MENTORING/PLACEMENTS

We have supported many young dancers on placements and educational programmes during our productions. Please do get in touch if you would like to join us.

HISTORY

​

Previous teaching includes London professional dancers, Imperial College, UAL, Lift Off Festival, BCDCY, BalletBoyz course, Dance International Film Festival Toronto & Conservatoire de Danse Italy, University of Chichester, Bath Spa University and professional masterclasses at The Place.
